Children's Dance Wear
Children’s dancewear varies depending on the style
of dance and whether it is performance or rehearsal-wear. In ballet
little girls wear pretty tutus and leotards; both of which make them
look similar to grown-up ballet dancers. On the other hand, boys wear
leotards, tights, or pants for ballet. They also look similar to adult
ballet dancers of the same gender.
Some of the most important pieces of children’s dancewear are
the shoes. In ballet the shoes are slip on ballet shoes or toe shoes.
For other forms of dance the shoes are often soft and comfortable to
wear.
One of the most common pieces of children’s dancewear is a leotard.
Leotards are worn during almost all forms of dance. But some of the
most common forms of dance where children wear a leotard are: ballet,
jazz, tap, and lyrical.
